Purtis Creek State Park
Things to Do
Activities include camping, picnicking, fishing, boating and hiking.
Lake Procedures
Due to the small size of the lake, a 50-boat limit is in effect with a wake/speed restriction. Once the 50-boat limit has been reached on the lake, waiting boats may enter as other boats leave. Customers who are not camping may stay overnight on the lake by paying a per person activity use fee, which expires at 7 a.m.
Equipment Rentals
The park rents canoes, kayaks, and paddle boats.
This park participates in the Angler Education "Tackle Loaner Program"; individuals can borrow rods, reels and tackle boxes with hooks, sinkers and bobbers.
Ranger Programs
The park offers a variety of educational opportunities, including guided hikes, nature tracking and stargazing. Special programs are given for groups upon request. Check the calendar for upcoming events and programs.
