We will look at photographs of CCC projects: culverts, bridges, trails, retaining walls, overlooks, lights, signs, furniture, and buildings. Then we talk about Civilian Conservation Corp design principles visible in the Recreation Hall of Goose Island.
After finding what features we have at Goose Island participants can join in on two additional activities. Using the Roman Arch Building Blocks Activity participants can try to assemble an arch. The other activity is Camouflage a Building, think of the pictures of buildings we have looked at. How would you hide a rectangular building with the natural features of the park.
