Meet a Park Ranger for an adventure across Fort Parker Lake and onto Polecat Slough! This will be a magical experience combining a boat trip and a 2-mile hike. Come join the fun!

Appropriate for all ages and skill levels. The pace of the hike will be easy, but attendees should be able to walk at least two miles.
Meet a Park Ranger at the Fort Parker State Park Nature Center for a First Day Boat-n-Hike! Join in the fun as the Cynthia Anne returns to Fort Parker Lake for her maiden voyage of this millennium. We will "sail" across the lake to the southwest end of the Baines Creek Trail where the adventure will continue on foot as we hike 2-miles down the trail to Polecat Slough. At Polecat Slough ready yourself for the return trip on the Cynthia Ann to the Picnic Area.

What are we doing: Boating and Hiking!
Things to bring: Binoculars, water, sun screen, shoes suitable for walking, a camera, and be sure to wear weather appropriate clothing.
Fees: There is no fee for attending the program; however, a valid park entrance permit is required to access the day use area. Day Entry fees are $2 per person 13 years of age and up, children 12 and under are free.
