A new year is just around the corner; time for new goals and habits. A time for paying attention to your health, reducing your stress, and enjoying the outdoors. Join Park Ranger Marianne Van Houtte on New Year’s Day, Wednesday, January 1, 2014 for a 1st Day hike at Mother Neff State Park. Beginning at 2:00 pm, she will guide you on the trails and explain the benefits of walking to your health. Fresh air and beautiful surrounding contribute to your emotional health and play a part in reducing stress on the body. If you prefer running or jogging, the trails are conducive for that and as a Boston Marathon finisher, Marianne can provide you some tips. Nothing fancy is required; just a comfortable pair of shoes and a water bottle. There is no charge for the guided hike; however, park entrance fees do apply.
