Angler Recognition Program

Official Weigh Station Information Form

The Angler Recognition Program is building a network of Official Weigh Stations that have certified public scales and are willing and able to weigh anglers' catches in their local service areas. Fishing-oriented businesses are invited to apply online. If accepted into the program, participants will be expected to have their scales re-certified on an annual basis. They will receive signage, a supply of record applications, and a listing on the Official Weigh Station web page.

For a list of companies that are licensed to certify scales, visit the Texas Department of Agriculture website. Select the "Reports & Publications" tab, type "Weights" into the program search box in the right column, and look for the downloadable List of Licensed Service Companies.
