General Access
Access to the majority of the Area is by boat only. Airboats are prohibited on the Area. Public boat ramps and information stations are located at Bevilport, the Walnut Ridge and Cherokee Units of Martin Dies Jr. State Park and the Magnolia Ridge Army Corps of Engineers Park. For use of the Corps Park a permit must be obtained from the Corps of Engineers Office at the dam site.
Permits Required
Hunters 17 years of age and older must possess an Annual Public Hunting Permit and valid hunting license. No permit is required for non-consumptive use.
