Horsing Around Permitted
  • While in designated campsites, horses should be kept haltered on a lead or in a pen area authorized by department personnel.
  • All horses must be certified to be free of Equine Infectious Anemia. Horse owners/riders must carry such certification (negative Coggins Test results) during their stay and present such documentation upon request.

Riding trails are grass covered paths and wind through all areas of the WMA. Equestrian trails are open from Septtember 1-October 31 and November 18-August 31. Contact the Area management for instructions. All riders must have an Annual Public Hunting (APH) Permit or a Limited Public Use Permit(LPU) Permit.
