Packing for Your Scout

Every soldier received specific pieces of equipment that would help him while he was out on scout. Everything he packed when into his haversack or saddlebags. Neither was very big and he even had to pack his food with his equipment!

Now as a class, decide on what type of equipment you want to bring along for your mission. Equipment might include a plate, cup, bowl, writing and drawing equipment, and do not forget your rations! However, remember, you can only pack equipment that fits into your modern haversack, a reusable grocery sack!
