The first Saturday tour for the month of June will be an introduction to geocaching. Geocaching is a worldwide "treasure hunt" using GPS units and even smart phones! Advanced geocachers are welcome to attend this event as well.
Come and enjoy a day of celebration recognizing the anniversary of the 1838 establishment of Fort Sherman. There will be period dressed re-enactors representing inhabitants as well as interpretive information about the inhabitants prior to, and after, the establishment of the Fort.

An introduction to birding will be given and participants will have an opportunity to see some of the bird and animal species that call San Angelo State Park home! More advanced birders are welcome as well. Ages 10+
Want to enjoy the outdoors and beat the heat? Starting a little over an hour before sunset a Park Ranger will lead you on a nature hike and talk about the history of the Concho Valley area and San Angelo State Park. Hike ends on Wink Hill just before sunset so bring your cameras!
One of the best swimming holes in north Texas is at Eisenhower State Park on Lake Texoma! Try your luck at catching fish on one of the biggest lakes in Texas and paddle around in a kayak for a family adventure.
