Public Meetings To Seek Input on Hunting, Fishing Proposals

AUSTIN, Texas – Hoping to gain public comment on a variety of issues ranging from a temporary deferral hunter education requirements to changes in fishing licenses, the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department has scheduled a series of 19 public hearings throughout the state during the month of March.

U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, TPWD Conduct Waterfowl Enforcement

AUSTIN, Texas — U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (Service) special agents and Texas Parks and Wildlife Department (TPWD) game wardens worked cooperatively to address waterfowl hunting violations in Colorado, Wharton and Calhoun counties during the regular 2003 and 2004 waterfowl seasons.

2004 Texas Big Game Awards College Scholarships Now Available

SAN ANTONIO - Applications for the 4th annual Texas Big Game Awards (TBGA) Wildlife Conservation College Scholarship Program are now available. The $500 scholarships sponsored by Carter’s Country Outdoor Stores will be available for the 2004-05 school year. Any entering college freshman (graduating high school senior), or entering college sophomore or entering college junior pursuing any field of study is eligible to apply for one of the more than 30 available scholarships.
