Accomplishment in the past year you are most proud of: providing visitors a great outdoor experience without them considering the devastating effects that Hurricanes Rita and Ike had on our Park. This is a great achievement for our staff and leadership.
Most unique/interesting thing about your park or site: Unlimited outdoor recreational activities in the middle of an untamed, diverse resource that supports a wide variety of plants, animals and birds.
Most memorable state park moment: A three-year-old boy threw his pacifier away in the water and an alligator, with it positioned perfectly in his mouth swam away with it.
Favorite outdoor activities/hobbies: Boating, kayaking, hiking, and bicycling.
